THE BEACHES
The beaches in the area are legendary for their sugary sand, warm water, and their beautiful bounty of shells.
Fort Myers beach has miles and miles of beautiful soft sand to walk on. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to make it a day to remember at the beach.
Sanibel and Captiva Island have some of the best beaches and shelling in Florida. There are also shelling trips that will take you to the outer islands for the day and let you experience some of the private beauty of the wildlife and shells found on these protected islands.
Watch the tide chart for the low tides and see the ocean floor come alive while you walk along the water's edge.

The Good Life
Cape Coral has the world's largest canal system and it was all man-made and dredged out in the late 1950's. This makes for a boaters paradise. With 3 marinas all at the southern edge of Cape Coral and leading to the mouth of the Gulf of Mexico, it makes for the perfect escape into paradise.
There are fantastic fishing charters available. Tarpon Point in Cape Coral gets its name from the beautiful fish that inhabit the waters. You will sure to be lucky enough to see some of the islands friendly dolphins and manatees playing in the water as they are always playful in the wake of the boats.
If fishing doesn't float your boat and you're more of a land lover, there is plenty to do. The area has many recreational and nature parks, one across the road from our home. There are markets, restaurants, festivals, golfing, shopping, a water park, and 90 miles of interconnected bijke routes. This is all in Cape Coral. There is something for everyone, the list is endless.
